About Me

Roots in Community

I’m a first-generation immigrant from a working-class family, and I know firsthand what it means to struggle, to adapt, and to keep pushing forward. My journey is rooted in perseverance, service, and the belief that real change starts at the community level.

Nonprofit Leadership at 16

Since the age of 16, I’ve helped lead my family’s nonprofit, which gives low-income youth the opportunity to explore art and cultural diversity. I saw how access to the right resources could transform a young person’s path - and strengthen entire communities.

Real Experience in Local Politics

Over the last four years, I’ve been deeply involved in local politics, and elections. I’ve seen how the government works, and where it fails. That’s why I’ve taken action outside the system too: mentoring high school and college students in leadership, financial literacy, and critical thinking skills that too often get left behind.

Academic Excellence with Purpose

I recently graduated from CUNY Baruch College with a degree in Operations Management and a minor in Political Science. My focus has always been on real-world problem-solving: smarter budgeting, system effectiveness, and governance that actually delivers. I’ve been recognized for both academic achievement and innovation - because I don’t just learn; I apply.

Choosing Service Over Comfort

I’ve been offered jobs at top firms and accepted into leading graduate programs. But instead of following the traditional path, I’ve chosen public service. Why? Because this is the moment to act. Our community needs energy, focus, and leadership that puts people first - not politics.

Why I’m Running

I’m running for New York City Council because District 47 deserves more than empty promises. We need leaders who deliver real results - on affordability, education, public safety, transportation, and small business growth. I’m not interested in playing political games. I’m here to serve.

The Vision

District 47 has the potential to become a citywide model of innovation and community-driven progress. With the right leadership, we can show the rest of New York what’s possible when we put people over politics, and build a future that works for all of us.

Why People Should Vote for Fedir?

If you want change, vote for me. I bring fresh ideas, actionable plans, and a commitment to making every dollar work for the people of this district.

Your vote matters, even if I don’t win. A strong voter turnout for my campaign sends a clear message to my opponents, the Democratic Party, and city leadership: Our community demands change, and our voices must be heard.
